Diary of a Bipolar Bear

October 8th 2016

Dear Diary,

My mom and sister forced me to CareBear MD for 8 fucking hours while they poked and prodded at each of my traumas to figure out why I’ve been crying for 8 days straight. Even though it couldn’t be more obvious, but I guess that’s what med school gets you. Overcomplicating everything with irrelevant and unnecessary questions.

Why can't I be sad?! I lost an amazing job because my gramma bear died (the only one that loves me, really) and then I heard that Bif was in some terrible ice fishing incident and lost an arm.

Like, HOW !!!!

Is anything real!? Do they know that it’s all real? Or do they think I'm making it up!!?!?!? Why am I being detained at the local loony bin when these sane fucks would be tripled the Crazy that I am with only one HALF of those incidents?

I AM ONLY A BEAR!

They think it’s coz my parents don’t play an active role in my life!?!?! But if they DID they would say that’s the reason (shoutout my Dad..). So I need these people to pull THEMselves together and say “THIS IS A VALID REASON TO BE SAD- DO YOU BOBBY”

But no. They’re asking about each sibling like they’re the key to my tears. At this point my siblings don’t even RANK in my priorities of problems. I wish they would stop asking questions and just listen. But I guess that's what the next 6 mandatory therapy sessions are for…. I hope I get some good pills for this.

Little Known Fact:

The total population of CareBear's around the world is 1.3%. They considered themselves the Chosen Bears and have since faced Anti-Bearatism since the beginning of their existence.

In 1981, the immigrant population of CareBear's in Chicago, Illinois was continuously refused medical treatment at Chicago Bear General and decided to pool their money together to start CareBear MD so they could finally get the medical treatment they needed when their super powers broke down.

In 1983, some CareBear's created their own television show, and there was an outcry in society that CareBear's controlled the media. This backlash didn't stop them, as the money the CareBear's earned went right back into building more hospitals in every major city around the world. Now all the CareBear's could get the help they needed.

In 1988, the CareBear's opened up their hospitals to the general bear population and have since been regarded as the leaders in creating new technologies to battle all bear diseases throughout the world.

The world's most racist bears, the Koala's, still refuse to accept treatment at CareBear MD facilities and have told their ambulance drivers that they'd rather die than be saved by a CareBear. The Koala Population has now been in a steep decline for decades.

About The Author

Bobby Jenkins

Bobby Jenkins is a lovely polar bear who battles Bipolar Disorder and has the style of a BEAR in the gay community. He was raised by a single mother, who doesn't understand him, and has two seemingly perfect sisters too. He attended one year of Undergrad at the Arctic College of Art and Design with a Major in Fashion Studies and a Minor in Nude Life Drawing. However, due to an unfortunate manic event, involving a Professor, two seals, and a very fishy salmon, Bobby was asked to take an indefinite leave of absence. Since then, Bobby has worked odd jobs to support his life of clubbing, frustration, and obsessing over really hot bears. His dream is to leave the Arctic behind and move to the bright lights of Chicago where the coolest bears and cubs from around the world work hard and play even harder.
