Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired | Day 19
To say this was a pretty blah day would be a truthful statement to say the least.
I’m still in a temporary living space for another week and then I move into my parents house as they’re now snow birds. That means they fly south to Florida for the winter. If you have the choice and financial luxury to live in warmth all year round, you take it. Being a Canadian, at a certain point you just get sick of the cold, even though climate change is making the winter that much easier.
For those of you, like me, that have boundary issues when it comes to loved ones, you would think that I enjoy when my parents go away, however……and I mean a big HOWEVER!!! My parents are bored as all fuck when they’re in Florida and I get a minimum of two phone calls from them throughout the day. I wish they’d get a hobby but I actually think they might be getting more depressed as they’re getting older. They just need the contact. My father is 74 and many of his friends have already passed away. Most of them were drinkers or smokers. So let that be a health lesson for you……. and how about you get one of those Fitbits. Shameless Plug!!
Now back to my day.
I’m doing more of indoor walking and upper cuts now, along with the push ups and sit ups. Unfortunately for my brain, I’m beginning to think that my sit ups and push ups are pretty half ass and maybe they aren’t doing as much as I think they are. I made a note of trying to put more effort into them even though the demon on my shoulder is telling me to just rest. Fuck that little devil of doubt. Fuck him where the sun doesn’t shine.
I know when I do things half ass and it’s starting to feel that way. Also, to add to this, I’m very hard on myself. Always have been. I need to work on that. So which one is it? Am I doing it right or am I just a self talking dick head? I’m leaning for a half and half on this one.
I tired not to think of it and walked a bunch of steps today, but nothing earth shattering. No runs. I had to catch up on things piling up at work and that actually caused me to miss breakfast completely. Sometimes that happens.
I don’t want to have days when I don’t take in enough food. I want to do this right and I’m reiterating this because the only way this lifestyle will work is if I eat more food than ever, not less.
