Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired | Day 25

In yesterday’s post I stated ‘No one said I was a genius’ and today I issued more proof.

Instead of taking it easy because I was feeling sick the night before, I still felt the need to get my Fitbit steps up to my high standards. I should have taken the subway to work and refrained from the cold Toronto air, but my obsession got the better of me.

It was just a day of missteps. Instead of taking it easy at night and going to bed, I felt obligated to attend a friend’s 40th birthday dinner party. Guilt equals bad decisions.

I stayed up way later than I should have and my voice started to feel the effects of talking too much. I ate poorly and I started to feel that too. But it tasted so good. It really did. I miss french fries. Maybe I’ll reintroduce them as a treat once in awhile.

All in all, I knew that tomorrow would not be a fun day.

Was all of this going to happen anyway? Did taking my oil of oregano not work? Who’s to say or know?

The one bright note was that my friend appreciated my presence. However, I was half the entertainer I usually am and like my Fitbit steps, I have high standards.

Pray for me.

About The Author

Edward Ernest

Edward Ernest is pretty much the coolest guy that ever lived.......according to himself. He's one of the founders of and has zero respect from any of his colleagues. To the outside world, he's this very nice upstanding citizen, but behind closed doors he's one of the meanest people we know.Yes, he writes nice articles and gives good advice. It might even seem like he cares about you and wants to be your friend. But please, don't be fooled. We've seen him kick a dog a with a broken leg before and have heard him on the phone berating his grandmother for only giving him a $5 birthday gift.Be thankful he's not related to you.
