Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired: Day 47

So many things happened today in the tales of trying not to be sick and tired anymore. And I only repeated the title for search engine optimization purposes. Sneaky sneaky.

First, I needed to start eating Oatmeal for breakfast, for now, to get my plumbing back on track, so you’ll notice that in my Fitbit stats below.

Second, an apartment/condo came up rent in the same nice building that wanted me to get into a renter’s bidding war, but this place is 700 bucks cheaper a month on the list price, with one less bathroom, and without a parking spot.

I don’t need a second bathroom, that’s just more cleaning, and I can street park with no problems around this place. This got me so excited that I sat in my chair with my arms raised like I was waiting for an applause. I have no idea why I did that, I just did. It’s not like I did anything.

I guess I’m proud of being patient and letting the world come to me. This is actually an excellent lesson to learn. I wasn’t going to jump at things, and by just sitting and not settling, the perfect place may have landed in my lap.

So I went to see this apartment/condo, and it was glorious. Enough space to setup a headquarters for this website. I nice view of the city. And no matter how slobby I may be, the finishes were so beautiful that even I couldn’t even make it look bad. It would pretty much legitimize me as being somewhat of an adult. However, the current occupant was doing a damn fine job of being the biggest slob I’ve ever seen. This person was a disgrace of a human being. She couldn’t even shove things in closets.

I had all my paper work with me and put in a higher offer by $100 bucks a month, so I didn’t get asked to be in a bidding war. Even at the $100 a month higher rent, it would be $600 less than I was willing to pay for the other place. Same building! Now my offer was in, and they had 48 hours to accept or reject it. I was the first viewer, and they only let me see it because I was so charming on the phone. They weren’t letting others see it for another two days, so this was all working in my favor.

I really wanted this place. It was part of the start of my new life. I was visualizing positive things already. This needed to happen.

After that, I went back to my parent’s place, went on a nice run, invited a friend over, drank some wine, and laughed the night away.

I’d say that was a positive day
