Our hearts broke upon hearing the news of Comedian Artie Lange’s arrest for possession of heroin and cocaine.

Hoboken police spokesman Sgt. Edgardo Cruz tells to NJ Advance Media that 49-year-old Lange was arrested on Sunday after allegedly being found with drugs in the parking garage of his building.

Officers found cocaine, heroin and drug paraphernalia both on him and in his car.

Artie has a long history of addiction and his exploits have been detailed on the Howard Stern Radio Show, in his time as one of Howard’s trusty sidekicks. It was on this show that we fell in love with Artie and all his faults. He’s a man that wears his heart on his sleeve.

An addict can always relapse as having an addiction never goes away. It’s a constant daily struggle and you need to be disciplined. We have no idea what triggered Artie to find his way back to his vices but we’ll be praying for him to bounce back strong.

Two days after his arrest, Lange sent a tweet to Judd Apatow, who is producing the new HBO comedy series Crashing. In the show, Lange plays himself as a mentor to Peter Holmes’ character, who is trying to make it as a stand-up comedian.

Reading the above was heart breaking.

And that’s why Artie Lange is The Unbalanced Being of the Day.

Edward Ernest is pretty much the coolest guy that ever lived.......according to himself. He's one of the founders of and has zero respect from any of his colleagues. To the outside world, he's this very nice upstanding citizen, but behind closed doors he's one of the meanest people we know.Yes, he writes nice articles and gives good advice. It might even seem like he cares about you and wants to be your friend. But please, don't be fooled. We've seen him kick a dog a with a broken leg before and have heard him on the phone berating his grandmother for only giving him a $5 birthday gift.Be thankful he's not related to you.
