“It’s about realizing that we are fully in control of the situations we’re in – and if we’re not, we’re 100% in control of how we react to them. In this situation, there are only a few options: either you let go of the rope and let it crush you, reach for the scissors and cut it down slowly or remove yourself and then let go… but in all cases, the weight is there. There’s no way to make things magically disappear – and that’s how some people visualize coping with difficulties/mental health – but there are ways to make the situation less agonizing.”
